Annual Meeting in Indy; Director Nominations Due March 15

The first NCSC telecom director elections will take place at the 43rd NCSC Annual Membership Meeting, which is scheduled for June 17 in Indianapolis in conjunction with CFC Forum 2024.

NCSC has two classes of members: Class E representing electric systems and Class T representing telecom systems. The NCSC board comprises 15 directors, with 10 seats for Class E members and five seats for Class T members.

This year, three telecom seats are up for election. In Districts 1 and 3, the incumbents are eligible for reelection. In District 5, the incumbent is not eligible to run due to term limits.

Calling All Candidates

The NCSC Class T Nominating Committee is beginning to develop a slate of candidates who are general managers or directors of NCSC Class T member systems to run for the open seats. Members in Districts 1, 3 and 5 should look for Nominating Committee information in the mail around mid-February or reach out to NCSC Senior Vice President and Chief Corporate Affairs Officer Brad Captain by email. The deadline to nominate candidates is March 15.

In accordance with NCSC bylaws:

  • The Nominating Committee must nominate at least one candidate for an open position.
  • NCSC members will be permitted to vote either by mail ballot or in person at the NCSC Annual Meeting.
  • Only Class T members can vote for Class T directors.
