Swish and Score with Self, Feinstein at CFC Forum

With CFC Forum and ACES’ Annual Members Conference being hosted in the Hoosier state, we’re thrilled to have a slam dunk headliner in legendary college basketball coach Bill Self, who will be interviewed by bestselling sports author John Feinstein.

Conveniently located all in one place, members of CFC, NCSC, Federated Rural Electric Insurance Exchange and ACES will be able to network together in downtown Indianapolis June 17–19. Pre-conference workshops will take place June 16 and 17, followed by the annual meetings of CFC, NCSC and Federated on June 17. Bill Self

Over the last 19 seasons, Bill Self has cemented the University of Kansas Jayhawks as one of the best basketball programs in the country. He is the only active college basketball head coach to win multiple national titles. Self’s acumen, authenticity and endless pursuit of excellence have instilled a culture and work ethic that is unparalleled in college basketball.

During his tenure, Self has led Kansas to over 550 victories, 18 straight NCAA Tournaments, 11 Sweet 16 appearances, nine Elite Eight berths, four Final Four runs and two National Championships (2008, 2022). Self has also won an array of individual accolades, including two AP National Coach of the Year Awards (2009, 2016), the 2012 Naismith College Coach of the Year Award and Adolph Rupp Cup, eight conference Coach of the Year awards and was enshrined as a first-ballot honoree in the class of 2017 Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. Self’s unprecedented program at Kansas is a testament to his leadership, passion and undeniable determination to succeed.

John Feinstein

John Feinstein is one of the nation’s most respected sports authors. He is also an award-winning columnist and regular contributor in both radio and television. In addition to hosting a radio show on CBS Sports Radio, he writes for the Washington Post and is a regular commentator on the Golf Channel.

His works include the two top bestselling nonfiction sports books in history. In 1995, he published the all-time bestseller “A Good Walk Spoiled,” a year inside life on the PGA TOUR as told through 17 different players. Just behind that in sales is “A Season on the Brink,” which chronicled a year in the life of the Indiana basketball team and its coach, Bob Knight. The book’s chart-topping success was also adapted to film with an ESPN production of a made-for-TV movie of the same title.

Feinstein is a graduate of Duke University and spent 11 years as a sports and political reporter with The Washington Post. He has also contributed to Sports Illustrated, the National Sports Daily, ESPN, CBS Sports and Golf Digest.
