Coming Soon: New Finance Program for Co-op Leaders

CFC is excited to launch a new program to strengthen the financial acumen of cooperative executives and senior leaders. The new Accounting and Finance for Cooperative Leaders (AFCL) program uses practical instructions, peer discussions and real-world applications to help cooperative senior leaders without a finance or accounting background strengthen their financial acumen.

AFCL will help leaders better understand the financial story of their cooperative, ask the right questions and apply financial insight to strategic planning, board communication and long-term organizational health.

Participants will learn how to:

  • Read and interpret cooperative financial statements with confidence.
  • Understand how the cooperative business model and accounting practices support sound financial oversight.
  • See how accounting and finance work together to reveal trends, risks and priorities.
  • Navigate how budgets, forecasts and rates support long-term stability and strategic direction.
  • Communicate financial realities clearly with boards, members and stakeholders.

Designed specifically for rural electric cooperative leaders, this course requires no accounting or finance background, just a commitment to thoughtful stewardship and serving your members and communities.

Invitations to register for this new program are coming soon, so be on the lookout!
