Meet NCSC’s Newest Team Member!

NCSC recently added a new credit analyst to the team, Timmy Bryan, who joined NCSC in December. Bryan graduated from Virginia Tech in May 2024 and is thrilled to start his career at NCSC.

“As a fresh college graduate, not only did I try to find jobs that were aligned with my interests in finance but also a company known for having great people,” Bryan said. “I actually interviewed with CFC before landing my current role at NCSC. The lasting positive impression from those initial interviews was a major factor that drew me back to NCSC when this role became available!”

Bryan’s interest in finance emerged when he took a personal financial management elective at Virginia Tech. The course sparked his enthusiasm in the finance and banking world and motivated him to switch majors to corporate finance in his junior year.

“I look forward to further developing my financial skills as a credit analyst, including identifying industry trends, gaining deeper insights into the market and expanding my knowledge about financial analysis and risk management,” Bryan said. “By doing so, I hope to effectively contribute to supporting our members and their goals.”

Born near St. Simons Island, Georgia, Bryan has spent most of his life in Northern Virginia, although he and his family visit St. Simons often. Between his trips to the Georgia coast and his years in the Shenandoah Mountains around Blacksburg, where Virginia Tech’s campus is located, Bryan has spent a substantial part of his life in rural areas.

“I’ve spent a lot of time in rural America, especially rural Virginia, and appreciate the many beauties it has to offer,” Bryan said. “Because of this firsthand experience, I realize the value of the modern amenities that our members bring to those rural areas through their impactful work.”

Bryan has been playing ice hockey since he was 4 years old and continues to play post-college with past teammates as well as his dad in a men’s league. And speaking of hockey, he played Xbox in person with Washington Capitals star Alex Ovechkin when he was in middle school.
