Annual Meeting Is Set for June 30; Candidate Nominations Due Soon

NCSC will hold its 44th Annual Membership Meeting June 30 in New York City in conjunction with CFC Forum 2025. Telecom voting members will elect a director for the open Class T seat in District 4. NCSC staff mailed candidate solicitation letters to the affected district in early February, and nominations are due March 27.

A Nominating Committee is reviewing potential candidates and will announce the slate of candidates for the 2025 election in early April.

All voting members will be mailed a packet of information about the meeting in early May. It will include candidate profiles and mail-in ballots. Completed ballots must be received at NCSC headquarters by June 23 to be counted.

In addition to the Annual Meeting, there’s an exciting lineup of speakers set to take the NYC stage at CFC Forum 2025!

This year’s agenda includes dynamic and prominent thought leaders who will address critical issues, challenges and opportunities for rural utilities. General and breakout sessions will feature customized content from distinguished experts.

Attendees will enjoy these booked keynote speakers:

  • Sir Niall Ferguson, contemporary economic and geopolitical historian, will share his unique perspective on the global landscape, using the past as a roadmap for the future.
  • Oz Pearlman will astound at lunch with his blend of mind reading and interactive mentalism that will have you talking about his presentation for years to come.
  • ABC’s “Good Morning America” Anchor George Stephanopoulos will sit down with bestselling author and journalist Walter Isaacson to provide insights and lessons from his time spent writing his biography of Elon Musk and share stories of turmoil and triumphs that Musk and other leaders experience.
  • NFL Hall of Famer and TV personality Michael Strahan joins us to talk about his personal and professional journey and inspire us all to go from good to great.
  • Former Governor Chris Christie, with experience as a leader in a divided political climate, will impart wisdom on navigating and thriving amidst differences and provide contagious optimism for leaders in any role. Joining Christie on stage will be Harold Ford Jr., executive vice president at PNC, co-host of Fox’s “The Five,” contributor to MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” and former five-term U.S. representative (D-TN).

Pre-conference workshops begin on June 29 and the annual business meetings for CFC, Federated Rural Electric Insurance Exchange and NCSC will take place Monday, June 30.
